Merry Christmas!

Evelyn was obviously excited to come and surprise Grammie and Grandad for Christmas!

Grammie and Grandad share a few moments with Hannah

This is the first time Grandad and Hannah met!

We all had fun making gingerbread houses (Everyone except for the unfortunate gummy santa that had a rough encounter with a savage, thanks Brian and Jon)

Hannah was excited to meet G.G.

Evelyn and Carter like to play with their aunties together!

Our Christmas Letter

Here is a copy of the Christmas letter we sent out. (Bradley, we sent one to you.) The picture is of Carter from a few days ago with his new little cousin, Taggert. He and Hannah would be a great couple in 23 years. :) The other one is just a really cute picture of Carter. Sorry we didn't send cards to the individual families. We just don't have current addresses. If you would like a card then send me your address. Love you all, Bry, Jen, Carter, and Herman (p.s. We didn't send these pictures out. It was a real family picture.)

Dear friends and family,

After four years of attempting to get a Christmas letter out, this might finally be the year it actually gets done. Since we know that Christmas letters like this seldom get read through the end, we’ll put the bit in right now about how grateful we are to all of you for being our friends and being such big parts of our lives. We wish you a very merry Christmas and holiday season, and hope the New Year brings much happiness to you and your families.

Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, if there is anyone still reading this, we’ll give a little re-cap of our lives over the last few months. We just moved (for the last time for a long time). Our new address is 18625 E. Kingbird Dr.; Queen Creek, AZ 85242.

What a year 2006 has been. Since most of you reading this probably are reading just to hear how cute Carter is, we’ll start with him. He’s grown up so much, (which I guess is pretty logical since the last 12 months have comprised 2/3 of his 18 months of life). In the last year he has gone through teething 16 times, learned to sit up, crawl, walk, and run. He’s discovered where the pots and pans are kept and that they make really cool noises when you bang them together (not one of his cuter qualities, in case you were wondering). He is learning new words all the time, and discovering that the best way to drive mom crazy is by making high pitched screams on a road trip when she can’t get away from him. Pretty much, he is cutest thing we could hope for. He is such a sweet, tenderhearted little guy, and it is so neat to have him in our lives.

Now that we have given you the completely unbiased version of what an angel of a son we have, we’ll move on to the rest of the family. Jen keeps herself extremely busy by attempting to keep our family running. Between being the secretary in her ward primary (comprising over 300 kids), chasing her own kid around the house for 16 hours a day, making dinners, and finding time to take care of her often helpless husband, the days go by far too quickly and nighttime slumbers are never long enough. On top of all that, she’s putting what left she has in her to making another cute little baby. That’s right, for those of you that haven’t heard, we recently found out that we are expecting our 2nd child in June. We are really excited and can’t wait for our new addition to get here. When Jen finally finds a much deserved moment for herself, she spends it scrapbooking, reading, or catching up on missed episodes of her “guilty pleasure,” Desperate Housewives.

And that brings us to Bryan. He is in his 3rd year of Dental School. He spends every day in his school’s clinic torturing his poor patients who have for some reason placed their mouths in his hands (errr…technically he is placing his hands in their mouth.) Bryan loves it, though. (Jen especially loves it when Bryan comes home and takes advantage of dinnertime to describe the specifics of the lovely mouths that haven’t seen a toothbrush in 20 years). Aside from school, he tries to keep himself busy with projects around the house or by playing “steam roller” with Carter…Anything to take his mind off of a poor showing this year by his fantasy football team (which may seem trivial to some now, but Bryan swears that someday everyone will understand what an important part of life it is).

We have been extremely blessed this year and we thank the Lord every day for our friends and family that help to make our lives so wonderful. God bless you all. Happy Holidays.

Love,
The Wyeths

I have to hurry before Ben sees me doing this, but this is the letter he wrote to Brad this week. It makes me laugh so hard. I love his drawing.

Sorry Brad, you'll see it here before you get it in the mail. I just love the picture!!!

Ben tries to be creative each week with his letters to Brad. One week he tried to write using only frozen blueberries and chocolate chips. Sorry Brad! You've got a goofy older brother!

Side by Side

Here's a little side by side comparison of the two little angels. Can you tell which is which? I think that they look a lot alike (minus about three pounds on Evelyn and the squished nose on Hannah...). Either way, their both pretty cute!

39 Weeks!!

Wow! Only one week until the due date. I am actually feeling great, I think it's because I know the end (and the beginning)is near. Everyone is wondering which of the favorite aunt's birthdays baby's birthday might fall on. We've got Nat and Nic on the 11th, Jen on the 14th, and my sister, Becky on the 15th. Of course there is Noelle on the 27th, but if the baby doesn't come by the 20th, we will probably be inducing the labor! Sorry Leon.
We are doing great, Ben is just trying to get through his papers, they're beastly! He's doing that while going to school and work full-time and being a full-time dad and husband. He's crazy. We sure love him!
Evelyn's newest phrase is "I'm not quite sure." She got it from Ben we think.
She loves to ask what we want for lunch, then she writes it down on a piece of paper.
Last week at church she turned around and stared at the lady behind us for awhile. Then in a not-so-quiet voice she said "Mommy, I see a scary lady!" Yikes! I just pretended I didn't hear her. She's a tall cute little goose. She sometimes ramdomly calls for "uncle Owell" -uncle Noelle. It's funny.
Love you all! Ta-ta for now!

38 Weeks!!

Here is a picture from Sunday 11/26. I look huge, but I still don't look nearly as huge as I feel. I'm pretty sure my ribs are bending. The due date is in 2 weeks. We'll see!!
Evelyn showing off the dress she got from Grammie and the fam for her birthday. Today was the first day she wore it and she loved it! We can hardly believe it's a size 4T and it fits great!
Evelyn on her favorite chair (she finds my belly comfy I guess!) wearing her "beautiful glasses."

Grandad! We had a fun little visit from Grandad on Friday. He flew to Cedar from Gilbert all by his lonesome in his "fast blue orange airplane up in sky high" as Evelyn would put it. After he left Evelyn said "I want my Grandad. Grandad go home."

Well its warmed up a lot probably 50 degrees worth thanks to the chinooks. So sounds like everyone is doing good Carter is and Eveyboo are cutier than ever. So... Nothing new here. We talked to a lot of J.W. Its funny they see us walk by their house and they grab their bible and literally run down the street to call us to repentance. The members are feeding us every night so we never go hungry. Oh yeah thanks mom for the Package it got here just fine except for the pop tarts they didn't make it(I'm using them a cereal). During the holidays a package can take up to three weeks to get here, just in case anyone wanted to send me something. Oh yeah mom did you get my letter with my memory card in it I sent it like a month ago, were is my memory card I need it. Sorry this letter is really random, I'm planning on writing letters later today. Nellie YOU ARE NOT GOING TO TAKE SHUAN NIMMER TO THE DANCE, THAT KID IS A FLAMMER! PLUS I DON'T TRUST THAT KID.

A few photo updates...

Hello all! I know the layout is a bit unorganized on this one, but I'm ready for bed!
There are a few of me at 35 weeks of pregnancy. The one of Evelyn in the white coat was her eating her Halloween candy the night of Halloween. The next is after we found her in the bathroom after she had been pretty quiet. She had found my eyeliner and was "drawing a beautiful eyes." Yikes! Looks like she found some lipstick before that! I don't mean to post so many pictures of myself, my sister always asks to see how big I am. Last week she said that she hopes I don't pop. Me too. I'm amazed there is still 5 weeks worth of serious growing time left for the baby ( I wouldn't mind if it were a little less!). Hope everyone is well! Ben is feeling much better after a bad case of strep. I have a cold now, but gratefully not strep. Evelyn is chipper and happy lately which we always welcome! Love you all! Ben, Jess, and Evelyn

The Little Elephant

How was Halloween for everyone? It was great here. Carter went Trick-or-Treating to a few houses. We even got over to see Grammie and Granddad. He was the cutest little elephant you've ever seen. He also has a cute little dino costume (or dragon, according to Grandma Chris) that he wore a few times.
It's amazing how much Carter has changed even since Bradley has left. He is saying new words every day and his facial expressions are unreal. He also loves to dance now. Unfortunately, he got Daddy's rhythm. :) We have an old cell phone that he loves to "talk" on. He answers it by saying "hello" (really strong "l" sound). Then he'll babble and laugh for a minute, then say "bye" and close the phone. It's pretty funny. We aren't quite sure who he's talking to. He will also hold the phone up to Violet's ear and say hello for her. They must have a mutual friend who is calling them. :)
We are getting ready to move. We get the keys next Thursday. (I have yet to pack a single box!) I don't know if the girls know this yet but they are coming to help me on Friday. They have school off and I am sure would rather be doing other things but Mom promised me their help. Maybe I'll even get them lunch! I have already thought of a great job for them... going up and down the stairs a million times with boxes. They are young and in good shape. Why not? :) Hope all is well. Can't wait to hear updates from everyone! Love you all. Love, Jen Bryan and Carter

I'm cold.

Hello,
Thanks for the comments. Jess was the closest to the Shhhhh. The Mexicans And Black people are awesome! Their the only ones that will talk to us as people. Everyone else yells at us and chases us off their door step. Well you know how some people say "like" every other word, Canadians do that with "eh". Yeah it is really annoying. I even catch myself saying it. Wellsome stuff i forgot to talk about last time. The first week i was here i was put in charge of teach 20 people from all over Asia how to speak english. NO joke. The first class was really scary. I didn't know what to teach them so since the aren't LDS I taught them the first three discussions. It turned out pretty good I gave them all BOMs to read for homework. Oh yeah you won't be getting any pics of me cause i had to get a hair cut last week and my zone leader gave me a buzz by accident so I look like a goof now. It's soooo cold here it got -20 with wind chill the other day it was horrible. Yes Nicole I got your package didn't you get my letter? The scafs have saved my life thank you, thank you, thank you! SO happy late B-DAy Evey-Boo Looks like you had a blast. Happy upcoming B-Day Naomi I can't believe your going to be a teenager. Sorry that you hurt your sholder mom, be careful. Well I got to go, see ya

Pickin' Pumpkins

Evelyn knew that Carter had lots of cute pictures taken of him at the pumpkin patch so she was hoping he would post some too, then they could kindof be together!

As you can see in the background we were a little late in the season for the good pickins' but we had fun anyway.

We love you!!!

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Hello Eveyone,
Well Canada is fine so far it cold every once in a while. Well In a poor part of town with lots of people from other countries. I've met more people here from other countries then I have my whole life. Well My comp is a really cool guy. He reminds me of Trevor Billensly. He is very quite. but we get along just fine. I'm still getting use to all the green. It' weird deer live in the parks here. At night you can see them walkin through neighborhoods to get to this big park. Well we are teaching a lot of people that want to be baptized but the can't commit for some reason. Mosty word of wisdom stuff. Everyone here has a dog I mean evryone. I getting very annoyed of knocking on doors and having a dog bark his head off till someone anwsers the door. I don't think I'm going to ever have a dog. I'm sick of them. Part of my area is on the reservation. It's fun to go out there, or I should say funny. The Indians can't afford beer so the drink hair spray and listerien, I don't know how they are still alive. They also like to reminds us the us white me stole their land and stuff. Well i'm doing good I'm glad to here from everyone, I did get your letters. I love you guys I'll try to get some pictures on next week.

Tumble in Bed

Evelyn was singing "Tumble in bed my tired little sleepy head" to her baby as she put her to sleep in the laundry basket. We thought it was cute!

Evelyn Opens Presents from AZ

As you can see Evelyn loved all of her presents. She wanted to send you all a great big thank you hug!

Evelyn's Birthday Open Princess Book

Evelyn had a blast opening presents. She got this from "Grammie Sally" and Aunt Becky. She was thrilled to get the princess book, we love the reaction...

Happy Birthday Evelyn

This was Evelyn's blowing of the candles. She had a very fun birthday, we just wish all the family could've been there too! She had lots of friends and fun! Just in case you are wondering, the door was locked and I needed to let someone in, that's why I ran away in the beginning. Love you all!

Poor Little Carter

So, I guess everyone has seen these pictures since they were on the CDs I sent out (did everyone get them?) but I thought I would give the back ground. Carter got (we found out later) Rosiola. He had a temperature of 105 over the weekend of Conference. It was horrible! He was so miserable. He just laid on us and wimpered. On Sunday night he wouldn't sleep unless we were right there with him. After the fever finally went away he got a really nasty rash. I felt so bad for him.
Carter and Bryan are both asleep in that picture. I woke up about 1:00am and couldn't find Bryan. He was in the guest room with Carter because Carter wouldn't sleep on his own. Turns out Carter is quite the cuddle bug when he's asleep. :)

Carter is doing much better now (for all who are wondering :)). He's so cute. He's in the mimmicking stage and he is walking everywhere. When Bryan gets home everyday he runs over to him (as fast as he can) screaming and hugs his legs. It's so cute! He is also saying Nellie now. He says "Nennie". He'll yell it down the hall. It's so darling!!!
Well, that's it for now. I hope all is well. We would love updates from the Idaho half of the family sometime. :) We love you all!! Love, Bryan, Jen and Carter

LET THE RECORD SHOW...

HEY EVERYONE,
JUST THOUGHT IT WAS TIME AGAIN TO GIVE AN UPDATE OVER HERE IN MESA AZ! WELL, ACTUALLY THERE IS NOT MUCH TO TELL. EXCEPT MATT HAS CHANGED HIS CAREER PATH. WHAT IS IT YOU ASK? WELL LET US TELL YOU...(DRUM ROLL PLEASE) MATT WILL NOW BE STUDYING THE LAW. YEP, HE IS GOING TO BE THE BEST LAWYER EVER BABY! SO WATCH OUT CROOKS AND DUI'S CAUSE MATT IS GOING TO JOIN GOLDBERG AND OSBORNE. JUST KIDDING, HE IS ACTUALLY CONSIDERING BEING A LAWYER FOR INTERNATIONAL OR INTER-COUNTRY ADOPTION, AND OTHER FAMILY RELATED ISSUES. HOWEVER, WE HAVE JUST STARTED THE PATH TO LAW SCHOOL SO WE ARE NOT COMPLETLY SURE WHAT HIS AREA OF EXPERTISE WILL BE WHEN HE IS DONE. THE GREAT NEWS ABOUT ALL THIS IS THAT HE WILL GRADUATE THIS SEMESTER.(YEAH!) HE CAN ALSO GET INTO LAW SCHOOL BY NEXT FALL (DOUBLE YEAH). WE NEED LOTS OF PRAYERS THAT MATT WILL BE READY TO TAKE THE LSAT IN DECEMBER. OTHER THAN THAT WE ARE JUST GOING TO SCHOOL AND WORK AND TRYING TO FIGURE OUT OUR FUTURE. WE LOVE YOU GUYS.

Our Weekend in Pine

First of all, we are SO excited to see everyone this weekend!! It's been way too long since Bryan, Carter, and I have seen the northern half of the family.
Last weekend we went to Pine with some friends of ours. It was Carter's first time up there. He also went on his first hike. He was pretty winded at the end of it all... after all, he did ride on top of Bryan's shoulders the whole time. The weather was absolutely beautiful. It made us anxious to be doing this with our family this next weekend. One last hoorah before Bradley totally ditches us for a few years, EH! :) Here are a few pictures from our weekend. Carter hasn't changed quite as much as Uncle Matt but maybe someday he will evolve into a muscle machine!
We love you all! Bryan, Jen, Carter, and Violet
