Cedar City

Hello everyone!
I am typing fast because I am at the library and have been on the computer awhile now with Ben and Evelyn upstairs in the juvenile section. I wanted to give a quick update.
We really like our apartment here in Cedar. It is clean, NO BUGS! It's so much easier to keep an apartment looking nice when you like it. We were so grateful to have a roof over our heads in Salt Lake, and we were sad to say goodbye to our friends there, but definately not sad to say "adios" to our campfire smelly buggy apartment! We are surviving wonderfully without a washer/dryer and dishwasher, we'll see how long that lasts, but it was just a way of life before and it has quickly become that here.
We really like our ward. There's at least 20 kids in Evelyn's nursery and at least half of them live in our complex. I'm not sure where they're all hiding though, it's so quiet all the time there. We'll have to find them!
Ben started school and work yesterday. He said it will be a challenge, but is looking forward to it ( mostly just to being done!). We really like the school, especially because they're giving away lots of free food this week!
I need to run, we don't have internet yet, so I apologize if we don't write often.
We love you!

A guilty man

Well I'm going to court today. I know what your thinking but I didn't do anything wrong. Then why I'm I going you ask, I'll tell you why. It all started on a warm April afternoon. I was on my why home from the doctors and since I had gotten a series of shots and didn't cry once; my mother took me to Jack in the Box the one located on Gilbert and Baseline. After receiving are food from the nice Hispanic lady at the window we started to pull around the rest of the building. That's when I saw it, a man dressed in all black running down the side walk with an arm full of cash. I thought to my self either that's a gothic kid who just won the lottery, or that guy just robbed a bank. I was right, he did rob a bank. "After that man I!" I cried and mom was on it. After a dangerous drive of 15 mph through the parking lot we pulled up close to the man. Mom saw he was making his way to his get-away car. "You’re not getting away today!" mom screamed and she speed the car straight into his(Mom doesn't remember any of this because she bumped her head when she hit the other car. So it would be good if no one ask questions to mom about what happend). I of course then jumped out to fight the man. Before he could raise his gun to blow me away I gave him the people's elbow to the face. He then dropped to the asphalt with the gun out of reach. Before he could get back up I jumped on him and started to pound his face in. I probably would have killed him or at least have knocked him out with my fist, but luckily for him I had gotten those shots earlier in the day that made my arm really sore. Anyway back to the facts. In process of beating up the thief I saw a baby crawling in the middle of the busy rode. I had to make a choice, should I save the baby and let the thief get away with millions? I gave the thief one last head butt and I was off to save the baby. I was successful in saving the baby after having to doge a cement truck or two, but the thief got away. Don't worry a couple of weeks later the police caught him. So today I have to identify the thief if he still has a face left to identify and tell the judge what happened. That's why I'm going to court.

A llama?... Seriously?

So, why a llama? Just wondering? You know, someone was just telling me that there is some group of people in Utah that believe their dead relatives come back as llamas... a little strange. So help me, if I come back as a llama, I am going to be one mad cookie.
As for changing the blog name, I think it should be called "People With No Jobs and Really Cute Kids Who Have Nothing Better to do With Their Time Than Write About Their Really Cute Kids on a Blog That No One Ever Looks At Besides the Doting Parents!" What do you think? Appropriate, right? Well, I think that Carter and Evie are so cute that they deserve a blog all to themselves. Have I mentioned all the new tricks that Carter is doing? Let's make a list, shall we?
1.First off, sometimes he TOTALLY makes Evelyn expressions. He just reminds me of her occasionally.
2. Not only does he SIGN "please" but now he says "pees" when he does it. (not all the time but simetimes he does.)
3. When you ask him what a doogy says he says "woof" softly.
4. When you ask him what a cow says he says "woof." I know, we're working on that one!
5. He still loves his daddy WAY more than his mommy... most of the time I think it's cute... others, I feel like I'm getting the short end of the stick.
6. We still can't do ANYTHING with his hair... I think we may shave his head.
7. He thinks that Violet is literally the funniest thing in the entire universe.
8. He can get off the couch alone... sometimes he gets hurt but he can still do it.
9. He's scared of the dark when he's not going to sleep. (our electricity went out the other night and he FREAKED.)
10. Last but not least, he will be the first person in the history of the world that will not be walking yet by the time he graduates from Highschool. (so lame!)
So, that's Carter in a nut shell. For more boring updates, tune in again in a week or so. I'm sure he'll be even cuter then. :) And don't forget to feed the dumb llama at the bottom of the page! Love you everyone, Jen and Company

Anyone out there?

So, No one ever writes on here anymore except Ben and Jess... Makes me sad. I mean, there are occasional comments from others but it still makes me sad. Maybe someday people will come to their senses and write... we'll see, I guess....

Alaska, baby!!

Hello everyone! We just got back from Alaska. (thank heavens because I missed Carter SO SO much!) It was wonderful and I definately think we all need to go there on Dad's bill!! ;) Should we vote? We did all kinds of fun things like ride bikes (with helmets) through a darling little town, canoeing, off-roading, whale watching, and tons of shopping. (too bad we have no money and one of the only 2 things I brought home BROKE in my suitcase!) One of the highlights was going to Canada. We were only there for a few hours but it was awesome to see a little piece of the country that Bradley will be living in for 2 years. It is so amazingly beautiful. I am glad that Bradley will get a chance to live somewhere green so he knows what life is like out of the dessert.
Love you all!! Jen (and Bryan, Carter, and Violet)
oh, about the pictures: 1) A view from a mountain above Juneau. Juneau is completely landlocked. The only way to get there is by plane or boat even though it's not an island. interesting, huh? 2) Glacier Bay. It was so cool to see all the glaciers. They are so pretty. 3) Yes, Bryan is HELPING Ryan get up into the tree... so cute!(Sitka, Alaska) haha. 4) 2 Humpback whales. They weere that close to the SMALL boat we were in. So cool!!!

Vacation Blues!

Hey everyone. I am just sitting here at work by myself. There are four of us girls here that work at S&H. One is at Rocky Point, another in the mountains, and the last is probably having her baby as I am writing this. I wish I was doing something like that (besides being in labor)! I know I could have gone to CA but Matt and I decided we wanted to visit Ben & Jess and Nic & Jon during spring break. I did, however get to go on little vacation that lasted 24hrs. Matt and I went up to his family reunion. It was fun getting to know his family better. The picture is of him and his brother Scott holding thier niece and nephew. This summer has been pretty calm and I am looking forward to starting school again. Hey I just had an idea! Everyone must write a blog about their favorite part of summer. I know it might be cheesy, but I want to know what everybody did and I'll have to agree with Noelle when she said that it seems like people haven't been writting as much. Anyways, I hope this works! talk to you all later.
