I love my apartment here in AR. It is roomy has nice beautiful trees outside the windows, and my mom really helped me decorate the place nicely. However, I can't be completely satisfied because for whatever reason, the apartment managment decided to put wallpaper up in the apartments. Which gives the apartment an 80's feeling to it. Unfortunately, none of my bathroom decor match the wallpaper. Oh, well! Other than that I couldn't be happier with the place. (Oh, besides the occasional hole in the kitchen floor).

Some Snapshots
A little moment with Jess and Hannah and Jessica's hair
Hair be gone! I feel like I betrayed Nicole, she's the only one who has cut my hair in the last 3 years, but I just had a day where I needed it gone!
Ben was laying on the floor and Evelyn got the pillows and towels and made a bed for the two of them.
Evelyn and Hannah together on the porch
Hannah enjoying spaghetti

Our Blog
So, I know most of you know but we have our own little blog. I wanted to be able to post things on there that I know are boring to other people. At first I was going to try to put a lot of my posts on our family one but that just wasn't working... so now I just want people to check ours when they are interested. I will for sure still post on this one as well but more will be on mine. Also, there is a cute picture of Blake on ours.... and some of Addilyn and Carter of course. So, that being said, get on it and check it out. Hugs and kisses!

Well, what can I say...I miss my little family and I have just started my first week of Law School...I could complain, but I just get a big smile on my face every time I think about being a Dad and our little boy.
Really other than missing Natalie and Blake I am really enjoying getting adjusted to life out here and starting Law School. Arkansas is beautiful and the people here have all been really friendly. The people in our ward are great at welcoming in new people and I really like the feeling at the law school. It really has a family atmosphere to it.
As far as studying goes I have already read about cases from everything from Murder to law suits over fox hunting to family members fighting over a music box (Seriously, some people). I don't enjoy some of the stories behind the cases but I really enjoy learning about the law and how it works.
My first day started off with a bang today...During the orientation we are told about how law school is different from most classes we've had before...instead of the teacher lecturing the whole class on new material, we are supposed to read the material for the class ahead of time and be prepared to answer questions because most of the class will be us, the students, answering questions from the teacher. Well, the teachers randomly call on people so it is kind of nerve racking waiting to see who will get called on and I thought this morning, "I'm sure I won't get called on the first day"...well I'm sure you can guess the rest of the story. I was the very first person called on in the first class this morning...what are the odds.
Anyway, I hope everyone is doing great...sorry I don't have any pictures of Arkansas to post but when Natalie gets here with our camera, we will post some.

Why I Love Little Girls!
How young is too young to shoe shop? Seriously, baby girl clothes are super cute, but the SHOES?!?! Totally out of control. And the great thing is that all her shoes are hand-me-downs.
My mom got me these bunny shoes years ago and saved them as a surprise for when I had a little girl. (Bunnies are my fave.) So, Addi wore them under her blessing dress... you know, kinda like the whole flipflops under a wedding dress. Bryan just rolled his eyes. (surprise, surprise)

The Moment We've All Been Waiting For...
Blake Matthew Backus is seriously the second cutest baby boy I have EVER seen. He is seriously so beautiful. The pictures don't do him justice. While Natalie seemed quite exhausted you can already tell that she is going to be an amazing mommy. And Matt was all about the dirty diapers. (Enjoy it while you can, Nat!) Overall, I am so glad they let me come be a part of this amazing experience with them. I can't believe Matt is taking them away from us for 3 long years!! What a turkey! Anyways, just remember that little Blakers is even cuter in real life with the most adorable little squawk and light brown (already curly) hair. Congrats Matalie. You guys are going to be such fabulous parents and We all love you!!
Pictures Coming Soon...
For those of you who haven't been able to see little Blake yet, I am going to try to get over there today and take a few pictures. I will be sure to get them on the blog since I think this is our only shot of getting them... With Matt leaving, Natalie a little busy, and everyone else computer illiterate when it comes to uploading pictures I have decided to step up to the plate and get a few cute pictures of this little tike for Ben, Jess and the girls, Jon and Nicole, and Bradley. Hopefully I'll get over there. :) Pictures coming soon...

Count Down
I am 37 weeks and officially full term! I thought I better put take a picture of me pregnant (not the most flattering picture) before it was to late. I have discovered my feet and toes turning into big round sausages and that my ankles have gone missing. I can't help but hope that I will go into labor on my own before August 10th. However, if that doesn't happen then I am scheduled to go to the hospital at 7:30 am. Dr. Holmes told me not to expect the baby to come until the 11th. I think he doesn't wan't me to get my hopes up that I will have a short labor. I can't wait until I get to so my baby finally!! Oh, and don't be surprised if we decide not to name him Caleb! I love you all!

Yummy Food!!!
Hey all,
Make sure you check out the link "Delights by Daisy." We made the "Cafe Rio" salad tonight and it was TASTY! We highly recommend it. We can't wait to try her "Tres Leches" cake.
We love you all and hope to see some posts soon!
