Arkansas

As many of you know Matt and I went to Arkansas this past weekened to find a place to live. The first day we were there was pretty busy. We first went to see the Law school and to visit with the financial advisor. We found out that Matt had been awarded a scholarship! It was a very welcomed suprise. After that we went apartment hunting. The picture is the apartment complex we will be living in. After living in an apartment with no dishwasher Iam very excited to know that this apartment has one, as well as a washer and dryer (I think I am in heaven).

The next day was a lot more relaxing. Matt and I went to the Pinnacle State Park, the arboretum, and Maumell state park. It is so green and pretty in Arkansas. I couldn't believe all the trees they have there. It was a little humid (you might be able to tell by looking at my frizzy hair), but not as bad as Corpus Christi.

All in all the trip turned out to be very nice. We are excited to start this new chapter in our lives. Also once we move I will only have 5 weeks left before Caleb is born!!

I just can't help it!

I just couldn't help blogging again, I thought we had a few cute pics...

Family Fun!!

Mealtime is so much fun for us. This is something Evelyn created while Ben and I were talking. She called it a birthday cake.
Hannah's always just happy! She is really enjoying solid foods.
For my birthday we spend the evening in the park. We had a great time! Here we all are. You can tell it's one the camera took by itself!

Out with the Old and in with the New!!

We were so fortunate to have recieved this couch, loveseat and recliner 2 years ago for free.
They have served us so well...
But it was time for some new couches! We got a great deal.
Hooray!!
Hannah is very happy about our new additions to our home. Actually, she's just really happy that she got sweet potatoes again!

This Pretty Much Sums It Up!

Carter for the most part has been really good about staying in his bed when it's time for nap or going down for the night. Sometimes he'll get out and play before he goes to sleep for his nap but we put him back in his bed and tell him to stay and he does. He can't get back in his bed by himself because it's too tall. He can, however get out alone. So, last night we went in to kiss him good night around 11:00 and he was laying on the floor like this... completely asleep. He hadn't gotten any of his toys out and he didn't seem to have fallen out... not real sure what happened. What a goofball!

Happy Birthday, Baby!!

Happy Birthday Jessica!! We just wanted to tell you to have a FABULOUS day. Maybe you can have a Rice Chex cake. :) We also hope you feel better. Keep us all posted on what is going on. Ben better be nice to you today and get you lots and lots of really expensive presents! We love you!!!

Some Seattle Snapshots

While the girls were napping in the car, Ben and I drove around an area called Queen Anne and took a picture from a park there.

Evelyn had alot of fun when Grandma gave her a ride all around in her walker.
We had lunch at a park called Luther Burbank on Mercer Island, where I grew up.

Hannah meets Grandpa John!Evelyn, my mom and I said "Hi!" to Grandma Shirley. Her ashes were spread nearby in this pretty rose garden.

Friends and Family in Seattle

We had such a fun time in Seattle! Here are some of the family and friends group shots.

We loved visiting Grandma Jake. She is 92 years young. She loved seeing the girls!
We loved seeing Chalonn and Heber and their adorable kids! We met them on the beach for a fun evening.

My dad and sister took us to the aquarium. The girls had fun being with Grandpa John and Aunt Becky. This was the first time Hannah met Grandpa.
We had a mother's day BBQ at my dad's house. We had a great time.
All the girls! Here I am with my mom and sister and the girls. My mom and sister took some time off work to spend with us. We sure enjoyed them!

The Cupboard

Yesterday while I was putting on my makeup Carter decided he wanted a new place to hide. He was playing with his cars under Bryan's sink in the cupboard (which is empty) when he had the fabulous idea and realization that HE would fit under there. So, under there he went. He made sure to tell me "bye" before he closed the door. After playing for a minute he came out, got his sippy cup and returned to his new little fort. Then he must have realized how boring it would be without any cars so he came back out again and got his cars before returning for good. Carter would open the door every 30 seconds or so and tell me goodbye again. The only thing he had a hard time with was reclosing the door from the inside. But, fear not: Daddy to the rescue. Bryan tied one of his belts to the door so Carter could just pull on the belt from the inside and the door would close much more easily. He was seriously in hog heaven. It was so fun to watch his brain work and try to figure out how to make the most of this new little room he discovered.

A visit from the Woolleys

We were so glad that Jon and Nicole were able to visit for a few days. We had so much fun with them and were sad to see them go. Thanks for the visit guys!
