I can't believe I am doing this..I bet you can't believe it either!

Thank you to Jessica for giving me step by step instructions on how to post a blog! I will try getting this down and maybe learn to add pictures at some future day!

I was released from Young women after 3 and 1/2 years...I thought I might die, I loved being in there with great and wonderful girls and leaders. Serving them was such a blessing, why did I have to stop! What a stinky attitude I had... but the reason for the release was for a calling to serve in the Bishops Storehouse as a church service missionary. I felt like I had been asked to do a calling that was for older, retired people...I jokingly referred to it as being a Wal-mart greeter, certain it could not be a very rewarding calling...it took me out of my ward, out of my stake...

Well today was my first day. I do get to work with the cutest little couples, and young men serving missions that are not able to serve away from home. I felt like I was surrounded by love all day....I loved interacting with them. It humbled me to see the many people there to receive help...I was there from 8 to 1 today and never stopped filling orders. There were about 8 of us or so and we all stayed busy during that time. I saw sadness in their eyes, sometimes embarrasement, people from all walks of life, some who I could see had been through many things, some who I wondered what their story of trials and woes might of been. I felt so much compassion for each of them. I was filled with gratitude for a church that is so well organized and prepared. That generous foods and commodities are available for those in need. The Savior always made sure those who needed assistance received it....He continues to do that now.
The Lord is in charge, it is a blessing to serve Him in this small way...to try to bring a smile and a little happiness to the ones coming for assistance, to love and appreciate those I work with. It is just so good to serve wherever we are called...there are blessings I would have missed out on today had I not been there. I needed an attitude adjustment and I got it today. I am grateful Heavenly Father is so patient with me...I can find joy and satisfaction wherever He calls me to serve if I only look, and try and trust.

Anyway, I can't wait until they have my little black badge ready....I haven't ever got to wear one of those! I have sent 3 Elder Wyeths out with those little black tags...but now I get to wear one. I am happy.

So sorry for the length! I try not to make posts SO LONG!
